Foreign Terrorist Fighters on the Rise
Washington, D.C. – In a shocking turn of events, it has come to light that the U.S. is facing a growing threat from foreign terrorist fighters. According to Interpol Washington Deputy Director Geoff Shank, the number of individuals traveling abroad to join terrorist organizations is on the rise.

The FTF program, which was announced in September 2014, leverages the unique resources Interpol utilizes to combat transnational crime. This includes the organization’s secure, encrypted communications system, its criminal and analytical databases, and its system of advisory notices.
Shank stated that the program has seen significant success since its inception. ‘The FTF program has proven to be a valuable tool in our efforts to combat foreign terrorist fighters,’ he said. ‘Through our partnership with Interpol, we are able to share information and resources that would otherwise be unavailable to us.’
The Interpol Washington office has been working closely with international law enforcement agencies to identify and disrupt the flow of foreign terrorist fighters. Shank praised the efforts of his team, stating that they are ‘dedicated to keeping our communities safe from the threat of terrorism.’
