Gerald Douglas Dandridge, Jr. and Scott Weaver, Fentanyl and Heroin Distribution, Florida 2025

Two Marion County men have been sentenced to 10 years in federal prison for their roles in distributing fentanyl and heroin in Ocala, Florida. Gerald Douglas Dandridge, Jr. (25, Ocala) and Scott Weaver (38, Anthony) were sentenced by United States District Judge Thomas P. Barber on their guilty pleas entered in early 2025.

The investigation, led by the Marion County Unified Drug Enforcement Strike Team and the Drug Enforcement Administration, revealed that between May and December 2023, Dandridge and Weaver worked together to sell fentanyl and heroin to a confidential informant. Dandridge also separately sold fentanyl to the informant in February and March of 2024.

This is not the first time that Dandridge and Weaver have been involved in offenses related to the possession with intent to distribute or sale of controlled substances. Both men have previously been convicted of such offenses.
