Guerrero Gets 16 Years for Bedroom Peeping & Child Porn

BOSTON – A California predator is off the streets after receiving a 16-year federal prison sentence for a chilling scheme to exploit children, including secretly filming an 11-year-old Massachusetts girl in her bedroom. Jacob Guerrero, 27, of Woodland, Calif., was sentenced by U.S. District Judge Nathaniel M. Gorton today, with the sentence followed by five years of supervised release.

The case, a grim example of calculated depravity, revealed Guerrero spent two weeks surveilling the victim’s home, meticulously documenting the schedules of the girl and her siblings – specifically when they showered, changed clothes, and went to bed. On March 17, 2021, Guerrero brazenly climbed onto the garage roof of the victim’s home and recorded the 11-year-old, unclothed, as she changed for bed. Investigators also uncovered evidence of similar predatory behavior targeting other children in Massachusetts and, disturbingly, in New Jersey as early as the summer of 2019, where he filmed minors as young as eight years old. Guerrero previously pleaded guilty to offenses related to those New Jersey incidents in May 2025.

“A core tenet of the mission of the Department of Justice is to keep communities safe, especially children and other vulnerable members of society,” stated U.S. Attorney Leah B. Foley. “Mr. Guerrero targeted young children by tracking their moves and then, even worse, violated one young girl’s privacy while she was in the safety of her own home, all for his own sexual gratification. With our law enforcement partners, we will spare no effort in protecting kids from predators like Mr. Guerrero.” Guerrero initially pleaded guilty to one count of sexually exploiting a child in August 2024, and later to transportation of child pornography in May 2025, following his initial arrest on April 14, 2022.

The investigation didn’t begin with the bedroom surveillance. Guerrero first came to the attention of authorities during an investigation into reports of a man – later identified as Guerrero – attempting to secretly record minor females at the Wrentham Outlets. Authorities learned he was using pen cameras affixed to his shoes while dressed in a wig and women’s clothing. This initial investigation quickly expanded to reveal the full scope of his depraved activities.

“Jacob Guerrero is a deeply disturbed and dangerous man who devised a twisted plan to prey upon children, specifically to abuse and exploit them,” said Ted E. Docks, Special Agent in Charge of the Federal Bureau of Investigation, Boston Division. “With these hideous crimes, this predator has forfeited his right to walk among us and will be kept behind bars and away from children for quite some time. My sincere thanks to the Wrentham Police Department for their hard work and partnership on this case.”

This case was brought as part of Project Safe Childhood, a nationwide initiative created in 2006 by the Department of Justice to protect children from exploitation and abuse. Assistant U.S. Attorney Mark Grady, Deputy Chief of the Major Crimes Unit, prosecuted the case. Members of the public with information related to this case are urged to contact authorities at 617-748-3274. The announcement was made jointly by U.S. Attorney Foley, FBI SAC Docks, and Wrentham Police Chief William McGrath, with special assistance from the Norfolk County District Attorney’s Office.
