PITTSBURGH, PA – MAY 2014
Guillermo Manuel Justo, a/k/a Rolando Velez Latorre, 38, of East Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, has been indicted by a federal grand jury in Pittsburgh for two serious crimes.
According to the indictment, Justo, an illegal alien, unlawfully possessed 81 rounds of .40 caliber Smith and Wesson ammunition on May 28, 2014. He also used a social security card that falsely identified him as Rolando Velez Latorre.
Assistant United States Attorney Leo M. Dillon is prosecuting this case on behalf of the government. Homeland Security Investigations conducted the investigation leading to the indictment in this case.
The law provides for a maximum total sentence of 15 years in prison, a fine of $500,000 or both. Under the Federal Sentencing Guidelines, the actual sentence imposed would be based upon the seriousness of the offenses and the prior criminal history, if any, of the defendant.
Justo is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty. The indictment serves as a reminder of the importance of enforcing immigration laws and protecting the safety of our communities.
