A 38-year-old woman from Spanish Fort, Alabama has been sentenced to prison time for her role in a methamphetamine trafficking operation.
Heather Jaye Skidmore was sentenced to 48 months in prison, followed by five years of supervised release, for her conviction of possession with intent to distribute approximately 120 grams of methamphetamine ICE.
The charges against Skidmore stem from a search of her residence that yielded varying quantities of ICE in different locations. The search took place on July 21, 2015.
The investigation into Skidmore’s activities was conducted by the Baldwin County, Alabama Sheriff’s Office and the Loxley, Alabama Police Department. The case was presented to the U.S. Attorney’s Office for prosecution.
Assistant United States Attorney, Gina S. Vann, was assigned to prosecute the case.
Skidmore pleaded guilty to the charges on July 21, 2015, and was subsequently sentenced to prison time. The conviction serves as a reminder of the ongoing efforts to combat methamphetamine trafficking in the state of Alabama.
