Four Men Arrested for Illegal Reentry in Florida

In a nationwide crackdown on illegal immigration, four men have been arrested for re-entering the United States after being previously deported or removed. The arrests were made during an immigration enforcement operation in Sumter County, Florida, between May 12, 2025, and an undisclosed date.

Henry Noe Murillo Castellanos, 29, of Honduras, Juan Diaz Mendez, 29, of Mexico, Esteban Pashanno Gomez, 30, of Mexico, and Hermilo Jimenez Vazquez, 23, of Mexico, are each facing a maximum penalty of two years in federal prison if convicted of the charge of illegal reentry.

Court records show that Murillo Castellanos had been previously deported from the United States on at least three occasions, while Diaz Mendez had been deported twice. Pashanno Gomez and Jimenez Vazquez each had one prior removal from the country.

According to the US Attorney’s Office, none of the individuals applied for or received permission from the Attorney General or the Secretary of Homeland Security to return to the United States.

The cases were investigated by Homeland Security Investigations, Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) Enforcement and Removal Operations, the United States Marshals Service, the Federal Bureau of Prisons, and the Florida Highway Patrol. Assistant United States Attorney William S. Hamilton is prosecuting the cases.

The investigations are part of Operation Take Back America, a nationwide initiative aimed at repelling the invasion of illegal immigration, eliminating cartels and transnational criminal organizations, and protecting communities from violent crime.
