Heroin Kingpin Jamie Jones Sentenced to 30 Months

Polite announced the sentencing today for 34-year-old New Orleans resident Jamie Jones, who has been convicted on one count of conspiring to distribute at least 100 grams of heroin.

The court documents reveal that from July 2014 to July 2015, Jones conspired with LEROY SMITH and KENNETH MIXON to peddle the deadly drug across New Orleans East. The trio’s actions were a blight on the community, a stark reminder of the pervasive nature of heroin abuse in the region.

Judge Ivan L.R. Lemelle of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana sentenced Jamie Jones to 30 months of incarceration, which will be followed by four years of supervised release.
