Holly C. Jenkins, Possession with Intent to Distribute Heroin, West Virginia 2018

A 24-month prison sentence has been handed down to a 55-year-old Wetzel County woman for her involvement in a complex drug distribution operation spanning multiple states.

Holly C. Jenkins, of New Martinsville, West Virginia, was sentenced to 24 months incarceration for her role in methamphetamine, cocaine, and heroin distribution that extended beyond West Virginia’s borders, announced United States Attorney Bill Powell.

Jenkins, age 55, pleaded guilty to one count of ‘Possession with Intent to Distribute Heroin’ in August 2018. Jenkins admitted to distributing heroin in March 2018 in Wetzel County.

The investigation, which was funded in part by the federal Organized Crime Drug Enforcement Task Force Program (OCDETF), involved a multi-agency effort. Participating agencies included the Drug Enforcement Administration, the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives, the Marshall County Drug and Violent Crimes Task Force, the West Virginia State Police, the Tyler County Sheriff’s Office, the Wetzel County Sheriff’s Office, the Sistersville Police Department, the Paden City Police Department, and the New Martinsville Police Department. The Columbus, Ohio, Police Department Gang Crimes Unit also provided assistance.

Assistant U.S. Attorneys Robert H. McWilliams, Jr., and Shawn M. Adkins prosecuted the case on behalf of the government. Senior U.S. District Judge Frederick P. Stamp, Jr. presided over the sentencing.

Jenkins’ involvement in the drug distribution operation was a significant blow to those responsible for bringing illicit substances into the region. The 24-month sentence is a testament to the dedication of law enforcement agencies working together to combat the scourge of drug trafficking.
