Houston Narcotics Kingpin Pleads Guilty to Fentanyl Distribution

HOUSTON – Houston’s Saadia Porter, a 36-year-old man, has entered a guilty plea in federal court for conspiracy to distribute fentanyl, according to U.S. Attorney Nicholas J. Ganjei.

Porter admitted to conspiring to distribute nearly 200 grams of the deadly substance from a motel room in North Harris County. The investigation into Porter’s activities began in 2023 as part of an operation targeting fentanyl distribution and overdoses across Houston.

Authorities say Porter operated a narcotics distribution point out of this local motel, serving up fentanyl to his customers. U.S. District Judge Charles Eskridge will impose sentencing on October 2, at which time Porter faces up to 40 years in prison and a maximum fine of $5 million.

Porter has been held in custody since his arrest and will remain so pending the sentencing hearing. The FBI and Drug Enforcement Administration conducted the Organized Crime Drug Enforcement Task Forces (OCDETF) operation, which was supported by the Montgomery County Narcotics Enforcement Team.

The OCDETF program is designed to identify, disrupt, and dismantle the highest-level drug traffickers, money launderers, gangs, and transnational criminal organizations that threaten the United States. Assistant U.S. Attorney Stuart Tallichet prosecuted this case, ensuring justice for the community threatened by Porter’s actions.
