A Marshall County man has been sentenced to 79 months in federal prison for his role in a methamphetamine trafficking operation.
James Adam Vipperman, 38, of Cameron, West Virginia, was sentenced today in U.S. District Court for the Northern District of West Virginia.
According to court documents and statements made in court, Vipperman worked with others to sell methamphetamine in Marshall County.
The case was investigated by the Marshall County Drug Task Force, a HIDTA-funded initiative.
Assistant U.S. Attorney Clayton Reid prosecuted the case on behalf of the government.
Vipperman will serve three years of supervised release following his prison sentence.
U.S. District Judge John Preston Bailey presided over the case.
Vipperman’s sentence is a reminder that the sale and distribution of methamphetamine will not be tolerated in West Virginia.
