Jamestown Man Charged with Threatening to Kill DHS Agent

BUFFALO, N.Y.-In a stunning revelation of cyber-enabled terror, 43-year-old Matthew White from Jamestown, NY, has been arrested and charged with communicating interstate threats against a Homeland Security agent. The charge carries a potential sentence of five years in prison.

Assistant U.S. Attorney Evan K. Glaberson detailed the allegations, revealing that on April 30, 2025, Homeland Security Investigations in Buffalo discovered an “X” account linked to White making explicit threats against federal immigration agents. White’s activity was brazen, with posts like, ‘Kill them all, ICE is the new age gestapo, stop them,’ appearing online.

Investigators pored over his phone contents after he surrendered it on June 4, 2025. Threats were rampant, including a chilling comment about an ICE agent’s children following an arrest operation in Virginia. White’s words were as cold and calculating as the steel of his intended targets’ badges.

Today, White faced U.S. Magistrate Judge Jeremiah J. McCarthy and was released under conditions. The complaint against him is part of a robust investigation led by Special Agent-in-Charge Erin Keegan of Homeland Security Investigations.

The charges against Matthew White are merely accusations, with the defendant maintaining his innocence until proven guilty in court.
