COLUMBUS, Ga. – A brazen break-in at a Harris County gun shop left law enforcement scrambling to track down the culprits behind the theft of 31 firearms. On February 10, four defendants were sentenced in federal court for their roles in the crime.
According to court documents, Jareco Green, 27, of Eufala, Alabama, was sentenced to 120 months in prison, followed by three years of supervised release. Green pleaded guilty to one count of theft of firearms from a federal firearms licensee on July 23, 2025.
Co-defendant Darious McCall, 22, of Eufala, received a 60-month prison sentence, also to be followed by three years of supervised release. McCall pleaded guilty to one count of theft of firearms from a federal firearms licensee on October 27, 2025.
Zyrion Fryer, 23, of Eufala, was sentenced to 37 months in prison, followed by three years of supervised release. Fryer pleaded guilty to one count of theft of firearms from a federal firearms licensee on July 23, 2025.
Shamonica Davis, 25, of Phenix City, Alabama, received a sentence of five years of probation after pleading guilty to one count of possession of a stolen firearm on November 18, 2025.
The defendants’ crimes began on September 16, 2022, when a stolen truck smashed through the front door of Alan’s Armory, a federal firearms licensee. Security cameras captured footage of Green, McCall, and Fryer, all wearing ski masks, emerging from the truck and stealing 31 pistols and rifles.
Law enforcement soon recovered evidence at the scene and confirmed the stolen truck. Using the Flock camera system, police in Troy, Alabama, alerted the stolen truck in their jurisdiction on September 22, 2022. Officers found the vehicle parked near the Family Firearms gun shop, then observed the truck drive to a nearby apartment complex, where Green ran from the truck into the woods.
Inside the truck, officers found a black sweatshirt, two camouflage gloves, a pack of cigarettes, a black ski mask, and a red Apple iPhone directly behind the truck. A search warrant executed on the iPhone, belonging to McCall, revealed a plethora of evidence, including searches for pawn shops, pistols, gun shops, directions to Alan’s Armory, and photos of McCall brandishing a stolen firearm the day after the burglary.
