In a shocking turn of events, Javier Rivera, a 32-year-old resident of Philadelphia, was charged with multiple counts of violent crime following a series of brutal attacks in the city.
The case, RIVERA, was filed in the PAED Federal District Court on May 28, 2019. Rivera was accused of committing several heinous crimes, including armed robbery, assault with a deadly weapon, and possession of a firearm by a felon.
According to court documents, Rivera’s crimes took place over the course of several months, with the first reported incident occurring on January 15, 2019. The victims, all of whom were local business owners, were subjected to physical and emotional trauma at the hands of the defendant.
Following a thorough investigation by local law enforcement and the FBI, Rivera was apprehended on March 10, 2019, and subsequently charged with the crimes.
