GrimyTimes investigates the twisted tale of Jeanne Williams, a former beauty queen turned Hollywood hopeful. Williams, a Syracuse, New York native and former member of Ziegfeld’s Follies, attempted to launch a movie career in the City of Angels. However, her charm and charisma didn’t impress the Tinseltown executives, and she was left high and dry. Undeterred, Williams donned a Russian accent and rebranded herself as Sonia Karlov, and suddenly, the offers started rolling in.
