A Bedford County man has been sentenced for his involvement in a counterfeit sports apparel trafficking scheme. John F. Crawford, IV, 48, of Everett, Pennsylvania, was sentenced to five years probation, with the first 12 months to be served under home confinement.
The sentence, handed down by United States District Judge Kim R. Gibson, also includes a $3,000 fine, 100 hours of community service, and $113,218 restitution to the Coalition for the Advancement for the Protection of Sports Logos.
According to the information presented to the court, on October 25, 2012, Crawford trafficked in various counterfeit National Football League, National Hockey League, and Major League Baseball logo apparel.

Crawford’s conviction for trafficking in counterfeit goods is a serious offense, and the sentence handed down by Judge Gibson reflects the gravity of the crime. The restitution ordered will help to compensate the victims of Crawford’s actions.
