Morales-Santizo was accused of being involved in a string of violent robberies that occurred in the Wilmington area. According to the indictment, Morales-Santizo used a firearm during the commission of the crimes, which put the lives of multiple individuals in danger.

The defendant was charged with three counts of armed robbery, one count of carrying a firearm during the commission of a crime of violence, and one count of being a felon in possession of a firearm. Morales-Santizo was also accused of using and carrying a firearm in furtherance of the crimes, which carries a 10-year consecutive sentence.

The investigation into Morales-Santizo’s activities began in May 2013, after a robbery occurred at a local convenience store.
