Keenan Davis, a 40-year-old Fort Wayne man, has been found guilty of two counts of being a felon in possession of a firearm, according to the United States Attorney for the Northern District of Indiana, David Capp.
The conviction comes after a 4-day jury trial, where Davis was found to have been in possession of a firearm despite having two prior felony convictions on his record.
According to documents filed in the case, the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) conducted the investigation that led to Davis’s prosecution.
Assistant United States Attorney Lesley Miller-Lowery prosecuted the case, which resulted in Davis’s conviction on two counts of being a felon in possession of a firearm.
The case against Davis highlights the importance of keeping communities safe from individuals who have demonstrated a disregard for the law.
As the trial demonstrated, Davis’s actions put himself and others at risk, and his conviction is a testament to the dedication of law enforcement and prosecutors in the Northern District of Indiana.
Keenan Davis is scheduled to be sentenced at a later date, and his conviction serves as a reminder that the consequences of violating federal law will be strictly enforced.
