Lordsburg Man Sentenced to 30 Years for Producing Child Pornography

A 38-year-old Lordsburg man has been sentenced to 30 years in prison for producing child pornography, the U.S. Attorney’s Office announced today.

Keith Joseph Medina was sentenced to 30 years in prison without the possibility of parole. Upon his release from prison, Medina will be subject to 20 years of supervised release and must register as a sex offender.

Medina was also ordered to pay $3,000 in restitution to his victims.

The investigation into Medina’s crimes began on July 1, 2022, and ended on September 18, 2022, when he was arrested and charged with producing child pornography.

According to court documents, Medina recorded at least four videos of himself performing sexual acts on a minor victim at his residence in Lordsburg.

Acting U.S. Attorney Holland S. Kastrin and Raul Bujanda, Special Agent in Charge of the Federal Bureau of Investigation’s Albuquerque Field Office, made the announcement today.

Assistant U.S. Attorneys Marisa Ong and Jackson K. Dering V prosecuted this case as part of Project Safe Childhood, a nationwide initiative to combat the growing epidemic of child sexual exploitation and abuse.

The Las Cruces Resident Agency of the Federal Bureau of Investigation’s Albuquerque Field Office investigated this case with assistance from Lordsburg Police Department.
