In a shocking turn of events, Keith Wayne Page, 28, of Omaha, Nebraska, was sentenced to 16 months in prison for escape from a residential reentry center in Council Bluffs, Iowa.
According to court records, on January 19, 2017, Page pleaded guilty to the charge of escape. He admitted that in early September of 2016, he failed to return to CH, Inc., a residential reentry center in Council Bluffs, after being granted a job-seeking pass.
Page’s escape was uncovered in December of 2016, when he was apprehended in Omaha on a federal arrest warrant.
The United States Marshals Service and the Metro Fugitive Task Force conducted the investigation into Page’s escape.
This case was prosecuted by the United States Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of Iowa.
Chief United States District Court Judge John A. Jarvey presided over the case and handed down the sentence.
In addition to serving 16 months in prison, Page will also be required to serve three years of supervised release following his imprisonment.
