Kimberley L. Gordon, Tax Evasion, Kentucky 2016

Kimberley L. Gordon, 53, faces serious charges after allegedly deducting and collecting $173,264 in federal income and Federal Insurance Contributions Act (FICA) taxes from employees of Debt Restructuring of America, but failing to pay over that money to the Internal Revenue Service (IRS).

The crimes allegedly took place over a two-year period, from January 1, 2010, through December 31, 2011. Gordon, the former president of the debt relief business, is accused of willful failure to account for and pay employment taxes collected.

The indictment alleges that Gordon, while president of Debt Restructuring of America, did not pay over the $173,264 in taxes to the Internal Revenue Service (IRS). This serious failure to comply with tax laws has resulted in severe consequences for the defendant.
