The store’s clerk, who had been roused from sleep by the sound of breaking glass, tried to intervene, but the burglar pointed a pistol at him and ordered him back. The thief then made off with $4O from the store’s till, leaving behind a trail of shattered glass and a shaken night clerk. The burglary was a brazen act, and authorities are still searching for the culprit.
