A Yonkers man has been found guilty of possessing ammunition after a felony conviction.
Kwane Reynolds, 58, was convicted of knowingly possessing ammunition after having been convicted of a felony.
The crime occurred on December 30, 2024, on a public sidewalk in the Bronx in broad daylight. Reynolds fired two shots at another individual, which was captured on surveillance video. The video showed that, following a verbal dispute between Reynolds and the Victim, Reynolds drew a firearm and shot the Victim in the stomach at close range. Reynolds then fled the scene on a bicycle.
According to the indictment, Reynolds has previously been convicted of a felony. The maximum penalty for the crime is 15 years in prison. A sentencing date has not yet been scheduled.
U.S. Attorney Jay Clayton praised the outstanding work of the New York City Police Department. The case is being handled by the Office’s General Crimes Unit.
