Kylen Ingram, Glock Switch Possession & Sale, Mississippi 2023

Oxford, MS – In a harsh blow to gun traffickers, a Starkville man was sentenced to three years in prison for selling a “Glock switch,” a device that converts a semi-automatic handgun to fully automatic.

According to court documents, Kylen Ingram, also known as “KTM Prime,” 22, previously pled guilty to possession and transfer of a “Glock switch” which constitutes a machinegun under federal law. U.S. District Judge Sharion Aycock sentenced Ingram today to 36 months in prison followed by three years of supervised release. Ingram was remanded to the custody of the U.S. Marshals following sentencing.

This alarming case highlights the ongoing issue of gun violence in the United States. The “Glock switch” is a device that can be easily purchased online and is often used by criminals to convert semi-automatic handguns into fully automatic ones. This increases the risk of gun-related violence and is a threat to public safety.

The investigation, led by the FBI, the Starkville Police Department, and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives, is a testament to the determination of law enforcement agencies to prevent gun violence. The case is part of Project Safe Neighborhoods (PSN), a program that aims to reduce violent crime and gun violence by bringing together all levels of law enforcement and the communities they serve.
