Larry Wayne Natt, Jr., Felon in Possession of a Firearm, Arkansas 2020

A Hot Springs man was sentenced to 92 months in prison followed by three years of supervised release after being found guilty of Felon in Possession of a Firearm. The Honorable Chief Judge Susan O. Hickey presided over the sentencing hearing in the U.S. District Court in Hot Springs.

Larry Wayne Natt, Jr., age 36, was convicted of one count of being a felon in possession of a firearm. The firearm Natt possessed and transferred was manufactured outside the State of Arkansas and therefore traveled in interstate commerce.

According to court documents, on February 10, 2020, Investigators with the Hot Springs Police Department, Special Investigations Division, conducted a controlled purchase of a firearm from Natt. Prior to Natt possessing the firearm, Natt was convicted of at least one felony offense and prohibited from possessing firearms. Furthermore, Natt was aware of his status as a convicted felon at the time of possession.

The case was prosecuted as part of Project Safe Neighborhoods (PSN), a program bringing together all levels of law enforcement and the communities they serve to reduce violent crime and make our neighborhoods safer for everyone.

The U.S. Attorney for the Western District of Arkansas made the announcement. The Hot Springs Police Department investigated the case, while Assistant U.S. Attorney David Harris prosecuted the case.
