Lawrence Neubert, Methamphetamine Charge, New York 2023

A 46-year-old man from Spring Valley, California, has been sentenced to 120 months in prison for a methamphetamine charge in New York.

Lawrence Neubert, 46, was convicted of conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute, and to distribute, 50 grams or more of methamphetamine, according to U.S. Attorney James P. Kennedy, Jr.

Neubert shipped packages containing more than 220 grams of methamphetamine from California to Buffalo, New York, on September 4, 2014, and October 2, 2014, in exchange for $3500 in USPS money orders.

A surveillance video from September 4, 2014, showed Neubert preparing the package and paying for its shipment in cash.

The plea is the result of an investigation by the Drug Enforcement Administration, under the direction of Special Agent-in-Charge James J. Hunt, New York Field Division.

Assistant U.S. Attorney Laura A. Higgins handled the case.

The sentence was handed down by Senior U.S. District Judge William M. Skretny on an unspecified date.
