Lincoln Man Sentenced to 15 Years for Meth Distribution
United States Attorney Susan Lehr announced that Rondale King, a 44-year-old man from Lincoln, Nebraska, was sentenced to 180 months’ imprisonment for distribution of methamphetamine. This harsh sentence was handed down by Senior United States District Court Judge John M. Gerrard in federal court in Lincoln.
On four separate occasions in October 2022, King sold methamphetamine to a cooperating individual working with law enforcement. In total, he sold over 5 ounces of the highly addictive and destructive substance.
King’s prior conviction for possession with intent to deliver methamphetamine in 2019 has led to increased penalties in federal court. As a result, he faces a more severe punishment for his latest crime.
The case was investigated by the Lincoln/Lancaster County Drug Task Force. This task force works tirelessly to combat the growing problem of drug trafficking in the region.
Following his release from prison, King will begin a 10-year term of supervised release. This extended supervision will keep a close eye on King and ensure he does not return to his previous ways.
King’s sentence serves as a stark reminder of the consequences of engaging in the illicit methamphetamine trade. As the battle against drug trafficking continues to escalate, law enforcement agencies will remain vigilant in their pursuit of those who would seek to bring harm to our communities.
In a statement, United States Attorney Lehr emphasized the importance of this case, stating, ‘The sentence imposed today reflects the severity of the crime and the need to hold those who distribute methamphetamine accountable for their actions.’
