Boston – Grimy Times brings you the grim details of Dillan Letellier’s 14-year sentence for a relentless campaign of child exploitation. The 32-year-old Maine man, from Saco, has been condemned in federal court after pleading guilty to coercing and enticing minors online, as well as traveling to Massachusetts to meet his victims face-to-face.
Letellier, who posed as a teenager on the internet, met two 14-year-olds separately. He convinced them to meet him in person, where they engaged in sexual intercourse. The brazen predator then traveled from Maine to each of the victims’ towns in Massachusetts for these encounters. His crimes were uncovered when law enforcement found thousands of images and videos of child pornography on Letellier’s electronic devices.
The Saco (Maine) Police Department and local police departments joined forces to bring the monster to justice. Assistant U.S. Attorneys Suzanne Sullivan Jacobus and Anne Paruti prosecuted the case, which was part of Project Safe Childhood—a nationwide initiative aimed at protecting children from exploitation and abuse.
Letellier was sentenced by U.S. District Court Judge George A. O’Toole Jr., who also ordered five years of supervised release and $2,400 in restitution, plus forfeiture. The Department of Justice’s Project Safe Childhood website, www.projectsafechildhood.gov/, offers more information on this crucial initiative.
Acting United States Attorney William D. Weinreb and Shelly Binkowski, Inspector in Charge of the U.S. Postal Inspection Service, announced Letellier’s sentence, marking another victory in the ongoing battle against child predators.
