A 38-year-old man from Loudon, New Hampshire, has been sentenced to 50 months in prison for participating in a conspiracy to distribute and possess with intent to distribute methamphetamine, according to a recent federal court ruling.
Mark T. Moore was found guilty of his involvement in a large-scale methamphetamine trafficking operation that spanned multiple states, including New Hampshire and Nevada. The investigation, which began in late 2016, revealed that Moore was in communication with a Las Vegas-based supplier who was shipping large quantities of the highly addictive and potent drug to buyers in New Hampshire.
According to court documents, Moore handled the communications with the supplier and coordinated the shipments of drugs from Nevada to New Hampshire. He also received a portion of the methamphetamine from the supplier and distributed it to buyers in the state.
The investigation led to the seizure of multiple packages containing methamphetamine, including one package that was intercepted by postal inspectors on January 16, 2018, which contained 18.989 grams of 100 percent pure methamphetamine. Another package, intercepted on April 10, 2018, contained 23.011 grams of 100 percent pure methamphetamine.
Moore’s co-defendants, Michael Bean and Katie-Jo Waters, were also sentenced to prison terms for their involvement in the conspiracy. Bean was sentenced to 120 months in prison, while Waters was sentenced to 72 months.
The U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of New Hampshire announced the sentencing, stating that the case highlights the ongoing threat of methamphetamine trafficking in the state. The office pledged to continue working with law enforcement partners to identify and prosecute those responsible for distributing the highly addictive drug.
Moore’s sentencing brings an end to a lengthy investigation that involved multiple law enforcement agencies, including the DEA and the Postal Inspection Service.
