On July 28, 1916, the Marshall Lodge No. 108, A.F. & A.M., convened a special communication at 7:30 p.m. But beneath the surface of fraternal rituals and Masonic pomp, a sinister web of deceit and corruption may have been spun. The lodge’s secretary, John W. Wells, and Worshipful Master, B.O. Frazey, welcomed visitors to the proceedings, but did they know that their organization was being manipulated by forces beyond their control?
