Mass. Man Sentenced to 24 Months for Stolen Trailer Posession

GRIMY NEWS – Concord, NH — Robert Gramolini, a 64-year-old resident of Malden, Massachusetts, has been handed a 24-month federal prison sentence for possessing stolen property. The grim sentence was announced by U.S. Attorney Jane E. Young today.

In a relentless crime spree, Gramolini was caught on video stealing a black enclosed trailer from a business in Hampton, New Hampshire. Law enforcement tracked down the stolen cargo to a storage lot in Brentwood, where they found Gramolini and other stolen items including additional trailers and motorcycles.

Upon his arrival at the storage lot, Gramolini drove the same gray Dodge pickup seen in security footage of the initial theft. After questioning, he confessed to taking the trailer from Hampton and another trailer containing around $64,000 worth of heavy equipment off the side of a road in Massachusetts.

The total value of the stolen property is estimated at over $150,000. ‘The defendant traveled across state lines to steal tens of thousands of dollars of property from others,’ said U.S. Attorney Young. ‘Our local and federal law enforcement have stopped this criminal’s activities and held him accountable for his actions.’

This investigation was a collaborative effort between the Federal Bureau of Investigation, Hampton Police Department, and Brentwood Police Department. Assistant U.S. Attorneys Matthew T. Hunter and Alexander S. Chen prosecuted the case.
