Matthew Carl Wilson, Interstate Transportation of Stolen Goods, Oklahoma 2025

Hugo residents Matthew Carl Wilson and Candice Marie Logan were recently sentenced for their involvement in transporting stolen goods across state lines.

According to investigators, on January 16, 2024, Wilson and Logan knowingly transported stolen industrial radio equipment from Hugo, Oklahoma, to Paris, Texas.

The investigation was conducted by the Federal Bureau of Investigation, the Choctaw County Sheriff’s Department, and the Paris, Texas Police Department.

On April 3, 2025, Wilson pleaded guilty to one count of Interstate Transportation of Stolen Goods. He was subsequently sentenced to 30 months in prison and ordered to pay court-ordered restitution of $285,749.45 on August 8, 2025.

Similarly, Logan pleaded guilty to one count of Interstate Transportation of Stolen Goods on April 15, 2025. She was sentenced to 8 months in prison and ordered to pay court-ordered restitution of $45,067.00 on August 19, 2025.

Wilson and Logan will remain in the custody of the U.S. Marshals Service pending transportation to a designated United States Bureau of Prisons facility to serve their non-paroleable sentences.

The Honorable Ronald A. White, Chief U.S. District Judge in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Oklahoma, presided over the hearings, which were represented by Assistant U.S. Attorney Jacob R. Parker.

The U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Oklahoma announced the sentencing of Wilson and Logan in a recent press release, detailing the specifics of their crimes and punishments.
