Meth Bust

⏱ 2 min read

Four Mexican nationals, Pablo Soria-Porras, Sergio Solano-Sanchez, Eduardo Benitez-Jacinto, and Jesus Diaz Iniguez, are facing federal charges after a massive methamphetamine bust in Douglasville and South Fayetteville, Georgia. The operation, which took place on February 25 and March 24, 2026, resulted in the seizure of approximately 44 pounds of methamphetamine and two firearms. The suspects, all of whom are illegal aliens, allegedly sold over two pounds of methamphetamine to an undercover DEA agent and received shipments of the drug from Mexico for distribution in the Atlanta area.

The investigation led law enforcement to a residence in Douglasville, where agents arrested Jacinto and Sanchez and seized 33 pounds of methamphetamine and a large sum of U.S. currency. In a separate incident, Iniguez was stopped by a Georgia State Patrol trooper and found to be in possession of approximately 11 pounds of methamphetamine.

The arrests are the result of a coordinated effort between law enforcement agencies, including the DEA and the Georgia State Patrol. U.S. Attorney Theodore S. Hertzberg praised the swift prosecutions, stating that they send a strong message that drug traffickers will be held accountable to the fullest extent of the law.

The case highlights the ongoing issue of methamphetamine trafficking in the Atlanta area and the importance of collaborative law enforcement efforts to disrupt the flow of illegal drugs and firearms.
