San Diego – Grimy Times has exclusively obtained details of a shocking incident where Rolando Nava PACHECO, a 19-year-old Mexican National, was charged in federal court for assaulting a federal officer and destruction of government property.
The event unfolded on August 11, 2025, when agents from the Homeland Security Task Force (HSTF) were conducting a joint operation to arrest an individual suspected of immigration violations. The operation took a turn when agents attempted a traffic stop on a white truck, with drivers identified as federal agents. In a brazen attempt to evade capture, the driver of the truck accelerated, striking a federal agent and damaging a government vehicle.
Despite efforts by a federal officer to block the path, the white truck rammed into the federal agent’s vehicle head on. The reckless driving led to the pursuit, culminating in the arrest of the driver, who was later identified as Rolando Nava Pacheco.
In a statement, U.S. Attorney Adam Gordon emphasized the importance of protecting federal law enforcement partners, stating that those who attempt to injure or evade law enforcement will face federal charges. ERO San Diego Field Office Director Patrick Divver echoed these sentiments, praising the officers’ commitment and professionalism despite the challenges encountered.
NAVA PACHECO now faces serious charges, including Assault on a Federal Officer – Title 18, U.S. C., Section 111 (a)(1), with a maximum penalty of 8 years in prison and a $250,000 fine; Assault on a Federal Officer resulting in bodily injury – Title 18, U.S. C., Section 111 (b), carrying up to 20 years in prison and the same fine; and Destruction of Government Property – Title 18, U.S.C., Section 1361 (Felony), with a maximum of 10 years imprisonment and $250,000 fine.
Homeland Security Investigations is leading the investigation into this incident. The charges are merely accusations, and NAVA PACHECO is considered innocent until proven guilty.
