The Grimy Times has learned that Edy Adonay Ayala-Carbajal, 36, a Mexican national, has been charged with unlawful reentry of a removed alien.
Ayala-Carbajal, a resident of Dallas, Texas, allegedly reentered the United States after being removed in September 2011 at or near Dallas, Texas. According to court documents, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement and Removal Operations investigated the case.
Assistant U.S. Attorney Ammon Brisolara is prosecuting the case, which is listed as 24-CR-122. The return of an indictment is a method of informing a defendant of alleged violations of federal law, which must be proven in a court of law beyond a reasonable doubt to overcome a defendant’s presumption of innocence.
Ayala-Carbajal is facing serious charges, and if convicted, could face significant penalties. The Grimy Times will continue to follow this case and provide updates as more information becomes available.
The full indictment can be found on the United States Attorney’s website.
