US Attorney Announces April Federal Grand Jury 2023-B Indictments
Oklahoma man, Edy Adonay Ayala-Carbajal, has been indicted for violating federal law after he allegedly reentered the United States after being deported in 2011. The 36-year-old Mexican national faces charges of Unlawful Reentry of a Removed Alien.
The indictment was announced by US Attorney Clint Johnson after the April Federal Grand Jury 2023-B returned the indictment. Ayala-Carbajal is accused of reentering the country at or near Dallas, Texas, in September 2011, and is being prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney Ammon Brisolara.
According to court documents, the US Immigration and Custom’s Enforcement and Removal Operations investigated the case. The indictment is a method of informing a defendant of alleged violations of federal law, which must be proven in a court of law beyond a reasonable doubt to overcome a defendant’s presumption of innocence.
Ayala-Carbajal’s case is not the only one to be announced by US Attorney Johnson. Several other individuals have been indicted for various crimes, including Dylan Lee Boyd, who faces charges of Aggravated Sexual Abuse by Force and Threat in Indian Country.
The 27-year-old Quapaw resident and member of the Miami Tribe of Oklahoma is accused of engaging in a sexual act by force and threat with a minor victim under 16 years old in November 2020. Boyd also faces charges of Sexual Abuse of a Minor in Indian Country and Abusive Sexual Contact with a Minor in Indian Country.
The Quapaw Nation Marshals Service investigated the case, and Assistant U.S. Attorney Stacey P. Todd is prosecuting the case. The indictment is a serious allegation that will be proven in a court of law beyond a reasonable doubt.
