Failure to Pay Taxes Lands Former Lawyer in Federal Hot Water

Ocala, Florida – A shocking tale of tax evasion has unfolded in the Sunshine State, with a former personal injury lawyer at the center of the storm. Michael Brady Scoma, a 51-year-old resident of Clermont, has been charged with three counts of failure to pay taxes.

According to court records, Scoma initially reported his income to the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) between 2013 and 2019. Based on his reported income, he owed the IRS a staggering $702,341.76 in tax liabilities.
