Michael Stanley Clark Sentenced to 25 Years for Child Pornography

Michael Stanley Clark, 32, of Denham Springs, Louisiana, was sentenced to 25 years in federal prison Monday after being convicted on multiple counts of producing, distributing, transporting, and possessing child pornography. U.S. Attorney Brandon J. Fremin confirmed the sentence handed down by Chief U.S. District Court Judge Brian A. Jackson, marking a grim end to a years-long investigation into Clark’s grotesque exploitation of minors.

The case stems from two parallel undercover operations led by the FBI and the U.S. Department of Homeland Security’s Homeland Security Investigations (HSI), with vital support from the Louisiana Attorney General’s Cyber Crime Unit. On October 15, 2016, Clark distributed graphic images and videos of minors and prepubescent children engaged in sexual acts to an undercover HSI agent. Two days later, he sent additional child pornography—including self-produced images of his own minor child—to an FBI undercover operative.

Following a search warrant executed at his Denham Springs residence on October 20, 2016, Clark admitted to distributing child pornography to individuals he met online. Forensic analysis revealed 298 still images and 333 videos of child sexual abuse across multiple electronic devices. Investigators traced his criminal activity online from 2009 through October 2016, identifying numerous uploads to cloud-based photo and content-sharing platforms.

Clark was ordered to pay $9,000 in restitution to his victims and a $500 special assessment. Upon completion of his 25-year prison term, he will face a mandatory 10-year period of supervised release and must register as a sex offender for life. The sentence reflects the severity of his crimes, including the production of child pornography involving his own child—a betrayal that deepens the horror of his actions.

U.S. Attorney Fremin emphasized the collaborative law enforcement effort that led to Clark’s conviction. “Today’s sentence not only punishes Clark, it serves as a stark reminder of the severe potential consequences that await others inclined to engage in similar conduct,” Fremin said, thanking the FBI, HSI, Louisiana Attorney General’s Office, Livingston Parish Sheriff’s Office, and District Attorney’s Office for their relentless work.

State and federal officials echoed the sentiment. Louisiana Attorney General Jeff Landry praised the partnership that secured the conviction, while FBI New Orleans Special Agent-in-Charge Eric Rommal reaffirmed the Bureau’s commitment to hunting down predators. HSI Acting Special Agent-in-Charge Thomas M. Annello added, “HSI will continue to aggressively investigate and arrest those who prey on society’s most vulnerable.” Clark’s name now stands as a warning in the ongoing fight against child sexual exploitation.
