An Erie federal grand jury indicted Nathan Mark Williams, 37, of McKean, Pennsylvania, on three counts of violating federal laws relating to the sexual exploitation of children.
The indictment alleges that Williams distributed, received, and possessed computer images and movies depicting minors engaging in sexually explicit conduct.
This case was brought as part of Project Safe Childhood, a nationwide initiative launched in May 2006 to combat the growing epidemic of child sexual exploitation and abuse.
Williams could face a maximum sentence of 60 years in prison and a fine of $750,000 if convicted.
The Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Pennsylvania State Police conducted the investigation leading to the indictment.
An indictment is an accusation. Williams is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty.
