Fort Worth Man Sentenced to 400 Months in Federal Prison for Armed Robbery Spree

FORT WORTH, Texas – Nathaniel Roshaun Bowens, 34, of Fort Worth, Texas, was sentenced to 400 months in federal prison by U.S. District Judge Reed C. O’Connor for his role in a string of armed robberies targeting T-Mobile stores in the Dallas-Fort Worth area.

According to evidence presented at trial, Bowens was convicted of five counts relating to the robbery of T-Mobile stores. Specifically, he was convicted of one count of conspiracy to interfere with commerce by robbery, two counts of interference with commerce by robbery, and two counts of using carrying and brandishing a firearm during and in relation to, and possessing and brandishing a firearm in furtherance of a crime of violence.

The robberies occurred at the following locations:

  • T-Mobile store located at 1801 Eastchase Parkway #115, Fort Worth, Texas, on October 5, 2015
  • T-Mobile store located at 981 N. Walnut Creek, Mansfield, Texas, on March 7, 2016
  • T-Mobile store located at 2205 W. IH-20, Grand Prairie, Texas, on June 28, 2016
  • T-Mobile store located at 3524 Altamesa Blvd, Fort Worth, Texas, on August 29, 2016 (attempted robbery)
  • T-Mobile store located at 2209 W. Berry St., Fort Worth, Texas, on September 4, 2016 (attempted robbery)
  • T-Mobile store located at 3524 Altamesa Blvd., Fort Worth, Texas, on September 4, 2016

Bowens has been in custody since his arrest in January 2017.

The case was investigated by the FBI, Fort Worth Police Department, Mansfield Police Department, Grand Prairie Police Department, Arlington Police Department, and the Dallas Police Department. Assistant U.S. Attorneys Brian Poe and Chris Wolfe prosecuted.

Bowens will serve 400 months in federal prison for his crimes.
