NH Human Trafficking Task Force Ditches Partner

CONCORD, N.H. – The New Hampshire Human Trafficking Collaborative Task Force has ended its partnership with Give Way to Freedom, the organization that had been serving as the Project Director for the Task Force.

According to sources, the Task Force will be adopting a new management structure and will seek to install a new Project Director to fill the void left by Give Way to Freedom.

The Task Force, which is funded by a $1.3 million grant from the United States Department of Justice, was established to ensure that comprehensive and specialized services are made available to victims of human trafficking through a multidisciplinary and collaborative approach.

The Task Force’s goals also include the investigation and prosecution of perpetrators of sex trafficking and forced labor.

The core team members of the New Hampshire Human Trafficking Task Force include the Manchester Police Department, Child and Family Services, Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) – Homeland Security Investigations, and the United States Attorney’s Office.

Despite the end of the partnership, the Task Force expressed appreciation for the efforts of Give Way to Freedom in helping to secure the federal grant and its dedication to helping human trafficking victims.

The Task Force’s decision to end the partnership has raised questions about the impact on its operations and the services it provides to victims of human trafficking.

The New Hampshire Human Trafficking Collaborative Task Force will continue to operate with a new management structure in place, but the specifics of the changes remain unclear at this time.
