BUFFALO, N.Y. — A sinister predator from Niagara Falls has been given a 27-year prison sentence for distributing child pornography. Daniel Krull, 44, was sentenced by U.S. District Judge Lawrence J. Vilardo after being convicted of the heinous crime.
Krull, who operated under the Facebook alias ‘Danny Blaze,’ was caught distributing 11 images through a private group between November 6 and 8, 2015. His actions led to the shutdown of the Facebook group and sparked a report submitted to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.
Further investigation revealed that Krull’s phone held nearly 2,000 images and 20 videos of child pornography, including graphic violence against prepubescent minors. The defendant’s admission of prior sexual abuse of three minor females only added to his guilt.
In March 2007, Krull had already been convicted in state court for possessing a sexual performance by a child under 16 years of age. His latest conviction comes as a result of an extensive investigation led by the FBI and Niagara County Probation Department.
Assistant U.S. Attorney Aaron J. Mango handled the case, underscoring Krull’s despicable actions in following minor females and his sexual stimulation while observing them. The sentence handed down today is a testament to the justice system’s commitment to protecting our youth from such predators.
