New Orleans, LA – Erin Alonzo, 28, is facing serious federal heat after being indicted on a slew of drug and gun charges, the US Attorney’s office confirmed today. Cops say Alonzo was caught red-handed with enough fentanyl, coke, and meth to land him in prison for a long stretch – we’re talking over 40 grams.
But the dope wasn’t the only thing in Alonzo’s possession. Federal investigators allege he was also packing a Glock .40, an AR-15 style pistol, and a Makarov 9mm, all while moving his product. Even worse, authorities found Alonzo had illegally converted the Glock into a fully automatic machinegun.
Adding insult to injury, Alonzo is already a convicted felon – busted in a previous homicide case for obstructing justice. That means he wasn’t legally allowed to have any firearms or ammo in the first place. Prosecutors are hitting him with every charge they can: possession with intent to distribute, using a firearm in a drug crime, illegal machinegun possession, and being a prohibited person in possession of guns.
If convicted on all counts, Alonzo could spend decades behind bars, facing a minimum of five years and potentially life. He’s also looking at a hefty fine of up to $5.25 million. Court records show the feds started building the case back in December 2025.
