David Michael Hobby Rossner, the despicable predator from Panama City, Florida, was today sentenced to a decade behind bars—120 months—for his monstrous acts of producing, receiving, and distributing child pornography. The 36-year-old faced justice for his online exploitation of a 15-year-old girl, whose innocence he sought to steal through Facebook chats that descended into the darkest depths of depravity.
Investigation revealed Rossner’s previous solicitation of photos from underage girls, a sickening pattern exposed by Kik messages. His phone and chats harbored scores of images and videos depicting young females under the age of 10, his perverted collection a testament to his unfathomable cruelty.
United States Attorney Christopher P. Canova vowed, “We will continue to utilize our resources to bring those who prey on children to justice.” HSI Tampa’s Susan L. McCormick echoed the sentiment, emphasizing the relentless pursuit of predators and the rescue of victims.
The sentence against Rossner was the result of a joint investigation by the United States Immigration and Customs Enforcement Homeland Security Investigations and the Bay County Sheriff’s Office, with Assistant United States Attorney Christopher J. Thielemann spearheading the prosecution.
