In a shocking turn of events, English actor Pat Somerset found himself at the center of a heated deportation hearing at Ellis Island. The proceedings, led by Chief of the Law Division John M. Lyons, aimed to determine whether Somerset’s tumultuous past would seal his fate as an unwanted immigrant. The Federal authorities first took notice of Somerset when a customs inspector stumbled upon four pairs of his trousers in the trunk of Miss Edith Day, the star of Orange Blossoms.
