In the sleepy county seat of Leesburg, Virginia, a small town nestled in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains, a gruesome crime has shaken the community. The battered and bullet-pierced body of Ward Loveless, a respected Washington attorney, was found in a china closet of his country home near Leesburg on Monday, November 24, 1941. Two 16-year-old boys, Paul Hoback and Herbert Porter, were arrested on Thursday, November 27, in Appalachia, Virginia.
