FORT WORTH, Texas — In a gritty tale of exploitation and abuse, three members of the Polywood Crips street gang have been handed lengthy federal prison sentences for their despicable involvement in a child sex trafficking conspiracy. U.S. District Judge Reed C. O’Connor announced the sentencing today.
Chad Johnson, known as “Ocho Hood Fame,” was sentenced to 300 months for his role. The 24-year-old pleaded guilty to sex trafficking of children last November. Deon Bonner, also known as “Spanish Fly,” received a sentence of 360 months for conspiracy to commit sex trafficking of children. He too entered a guilty plea the same month.
Stanley Johnson, alias “Pee Wee,” was sentenced to 168 months in prison. The 24-year-old pleaded guilty to conspiracy to commit sex trafficking of children in October 2016. All three will also register as lifetime sex offenders.
The investigation, which began in November 2015 with the discovery of a 16-year-old girl being trafficked in Fort Worth, revealed a chilling network that exploited minors and adults for commercial sex acts. The Polywood Crips gang members served as pimps, controlling the girls and women, keeping proceeds from their exploitation.
Documents show how the gang facilitated transactions by placing advertisements on sites like Backpage.com, with Serrah Arnold and Jessica Arnold, known as “bottom girls,” posting ads using family accounts. Deon Bonner, Stanley Johnson, and others met Jane Doe 2 and Jane Doe 1 in Fort Worth, trafficking them through various motels and hotel rooms.
Victims were beaten and physically assaulted for non-compliance, with Chad Johnson inflicting such severe punishment on one female victim that he caused her eardrum to burst. The gang’s exploitation was relentless, targeting numerous individuals over a span of several years.
