A 23-year-old thug on St. Croix in the US Virgin Islands was sentenced to 16 months for slugging a US postal worker. Omarion Webbe, 23, of St. Croix, made unwanted advances at the postal carrier, L.L., on October 15, 2024, before sucker-punching her in the buttocks when she tried to stand up for herself.
The attack happened in broad daylight as the postal worker delivered mail at Harbor View Apartments. Webbe had earlier been spotted near the postal van and at two other locations, Sugar Beach Condominiums and Club St. Croix Condominiums.
Postal worker L.L. had seen Webbe before and took a picture of him with her phone. But when he made another unwanted comment and hit her, she screamed for help. Two maintenance workers rushed to her aid, but Webbe was long gone, fleeing over a concrete wall.
The United States Postal Inspection Service and the Virgin Islands Police Department investigated the case, with Assistant U.S. Attorney Rhonda Williams-Henry prosecuting on behalf of the US Attorney’s Office for the District of the Virgin Islands.
