A federal indictment has been unsealed in the District Court of Oregon against Dimitrius Nicholai Pryce, a 32-year-old Portland resident, for his alleged role in a large-scale fentanyl distribution ring.
According to court documents, Pryce is accused of conspiring to distribute fentanyl, which resulted in at least one overdose death. The indictment further alleges that Pryce and his co-conspirators distributed the deadly synthetic opioid in Portland and beyond, putting countless lives at risk.
The U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Oregon announced the charges against Pryce, who is being represented by a team of attorneys including Julia E. Jarrett and Clais Daniels-Edwards. The government has charged Pryce with one count of conspiracy to distribute fentanyl, which carries a maximum penalty of life imprisonment.
Assistant U.S. Attorney Lisa A. Maxfield is leading the prosecution, which is being investigated by theDrug Enforcement Administration (DEA) and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI).
