Randy McKinley, a 57-year-old resident of Bridgeport, West Virginia, has admitted to possessing child pornography, United States Attorney William J. Ihlenfeld, II announced.
McKinley pleaded guilty to one count of ‘Possession of Child Pornography’ on an unspecified date in October 2020 in Harrison County. The evidence against McKinley revealed that he had child pornography featuring children under the age of 12.
As a result of his guilty plea, McKinley faces up to 10 years of incarceration and a fine of up to $250,000. The actual sentence imposed will depend on the seriousness of the offenses and any prior criminal history he may have.
The case against McKinley was investigated by the Bridgeport Police, the West Virginia State Police, and the Harrison County Sheriff’s Office. Assistant U.S. Attorney Danae DeMasi-Lemon is prosecuting the case on behalf of the government.
U.S. Magistrate Judge Michael Aloi presided over the proceedings.
