A brazen act of bank robbery shook the streets of Portland, Maine on November 13, 2012. That’s when 38-year-old Richard D. Gooding, a Youngstown, Ohio resident, allegedly stormed into the Bangor Savings Bank on Brighton Avenue, making off with approximately $1,543 from a teller.

According to authorities, Gooding’s daring heist was eventually linked to his Youngstown, Ohio residence. The Portland, Maine Police Department, the Federal Bureau of Investigation, and the Mahoning Valley Violent Crimes Task Force combined forces to bring Gooding to justice.
